Christmas Cards Let it Snow - Kaisercraft

Hey hey friends!

So this month marks the start of the first release of Christmas ranges from Kaisercraft.  Let me introduce to you - Let It Snow!

So pretty and shimmery and that teal colour is just DIVINE!

I have created a couple of quick cards to share with you using my favourite technique at the moment which is ink blending.

To start I inked a strip of white cardstock using the Kaisercraft inks and a blending brush.  The colours I used were Peacock and Sea Breeze.

Once I had the strip blended I stamped using the co-ordinating stamp set from the collection using the Metalic Silver ink.  It gave a very soft almost water mark look.

I then added some of the pretty foil baubles from the collectables pack and some sticky backed string pearls.

Masculine Cards with Workshop by Kaisercraft

Hello paper friends and thank you so very much for stopping by!

Have you seen the new collection just released by Kaisercraft?  It is a masculine collection called Workshop - perfect for the men in our life!

I thought I would share a couple of cards today that I created using the new collection and also using some of the Kaisercraft ink pads.

For this first card I cut a strip of white paper and then set about blending some of the ink colours together.

I love the effect this gave.  It almost has a bit of a leathery feel to it.

I then added the strip to a white card bae and added a couple of the collectables along with the "Happy Fathers Day" quote from the small paper pad.

For my second card I used the same technique but kept the ink blending contained in a small rectangle in the centre of my card base.

Before I added it to a piece of patterned paper from the small paper pad, I stamped it using the co-ordinating stamp set from the Workshop collection using a mix of the chestnut and licorice inks.

I then added some collectables and the little sentiment was from the small paper pad.

Summer Sunshine - August Mood Board Dusty Attic

Hello friends, its Jo here to share with you my take on this months mood board for the month of August!

Here is our mood board to play with.

Doesn't that look so good right about now for us in Australia?  The pool and the palm trees reminded me a little of our little backyard oasis so I decided to scrapbook a pic of us around the pool in summer time.  Not something you see very often for me!  I'm usually on the side of the water.  Never in it!

I started by adding some blue ink to my background page and then fussy cut some tropical images.  I then started to tuck under all that yummy Dusty Attic goodness!

The beautiful branch #3 that is featuring on my page I just covered with gesso and left it without anything other colouring.

I added some distress oxide ink in Salty Ocean to the Broken Bits #6 and tucked them under my photo and in my clustering of embellishments.

The foliage # 19 I added some gesso to and then gently added some green ink to it but didn't completely cover it.

My title I kept simple with the mini tags no. 3 .

Birthday Cards - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans and welcome!

Today I have a couple of cards to share with you.  Always good to have few put aside for when the occasion arises!

To start I covered the base of two 5 x 7 cards with some pretty patterned papers.  I inked around the edges to give it a bit of a vintage vibe.

I then collected the chipboard and covered it all with gesso first.

For my first card I used the beautiful birdcage.  I inked it in gold and then added some glittery embossing powder just in places not completely covered it.

I then clustered up some flowers and under those flowers I tucked under some of the new Mini Foliage which I covered with some green ink.

I snipped pieces from the Corner Flourish no. 5 and inked them blue before adding a light coat of gold glitter embossing powder.

I finished with the chipboard Happy Birthday sentiments.

For my second card I started by laying on the new Broken Bits no. 4 - Marakesh.  Oh my - these are just awesome for adding just a bit of something extra to your projects!  I added some dark brown ink.

I then laid the small Clockworks chipboard which I added some brown ink too and then stippled over the top with gesso.

On top of that I placed my pretty blossoms and tucked under a little piece of Gingko Biloba that I had left over from another project as well as more of the new Mini Foliage again inked green.

I finished off with the Happy Birthday chipboard sentiments.

Together - Magenta Kaisercraft

  

Hello and welcome Kaisercraft fans!  It’s Jo back with you to share another guest design project featuring the STUNNING new Magenta collection.

Let me just say, I adore this collection.  As pink is my favourite colour this ticked all my boxes and with those beautiful watercolour blooms – seriously how can you go wrong?

I chose this photo to scrap of my hubby and daughter on a recent trip to Sydney. 

Kaisercraft products used:  PP1071 Paper Pad | P2780 Pomegrante | P2782 Pink | CT965 Collectables | DD472 Textured Weathered Die | DD547 Circle Vines Die | CS162 Stains Stamp

I started with a white background which always seems to be my go to.

I think added a couple of strips of that stunning paper Pomegrante to the top and bottom of my white card base.  To ground them I added a couple of strips of the reverse of that paper too.

I then made my paper cluster for my photo to sit on by choosing a few sheets from the 6 x 6 paper pad.  There is also a doily tucked in too.

Now comes the fun part – embellishing.  Using the Pink paper with all those pretty flowers on, I fussy cut a few of the black and white flowers to tuck under my photo adding in some of the die cuts from the collectables.

To add a little texture without getting messy I added some die cuts from the Textured Wood die and tucked them under my layers.

Next I set about clustering my embellishments on the bottom and adding the title.

I then added the Circle Vines Frame which I die cut from white cardstock and added my butterfly over the top.  A pop of black with some stamping and your layout is complete!

Laugh - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty fans and welcome back. 

Can you believe we are already into July?  Seriously the year is just flying by!

Winter and the perfect time to be indoors scrapping up a storm!

So - with a new month means a new mood board.

Here is July

Another beautiful one by the boss lady!

I love the colours in this.  Again another one that challenged me to step outside of my "safe zone"

Here is what I created.

I started with some stamping on the background and then built my paper layers.  I added some gesso to the Cosmic Swirl chipboard and laid my photo on top.

I then tucked under some of the pretty papers that I fussy cut out.

Once my flowers were on I added some more chipboard.  I tucked under the Doily No. 5 which I covered with some dark green ink.  I snipped it in half so I could add some to the left hand side cluster as well was the right hand side cluster.

On the right hand side cluster I tucked in the Holly Flourish no. 2 chipboard with I covered in green glitter and some red paint for the berries, along with the Foliage no. 2.

On both sides I added some Foliage no. 11 and finished off my page with the simple Laugh title which I mixed two embossing powder together.  I added some gold and green embossing powder.

To finish off  I added some wordpl@y for a pop of black.

With All My Heart - Dusty Attic

Hello and welcome.  Thanks for stopping by.

Today I have a layout to share with you using lots of Dusty Attic goodness.

I really liked the blue and lilac moodboard from last month so I decided to stick with those colours.

To start, I added a strip of pretty paper to the top of a white sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock.

I then added the Lattice by snipping it into smaller pieces and over the top of that I laid the oh so pretty French Garden Border.  How pretty is that piece of chippy!!  Both of those pieces I just added a very light coat of gesso.

The Mystic Frame was perfect for my photo so I covered that with distress oxide inks.

I then added all those pretty blooms along with some foliage and also tucked under one of the locket pieces from the Key To My Heart chippy set.  I embossed that with a little green embossing powder and added a smear of gold wax and black in to give it a bit of an aged look.

To finish off  I added my title which I covered with gesso and also again some of the distress oxide inks.  For a pop of black I have added the Wordpl@y.
