March Mood Board - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fanatics!  Wow can you believe we are now into March?  So that means a new mood board.  Lets take a look at this months moodboard.

Lovely hey?  So I decided to try and incorporate all the colours in my layout.

Not a whole heap of chipboard used in this one.  Just that beautiful Baroque Frame along with some perforated mesh for a bit of texture and the Feather Charms.

I kept my chipboard all the same colour tones for this one.  I didn't prime it at all - just inked gently over the tope with some distress oxide inks in the colours Tumbled Glass and Frayed Burlap.

I then layered my chipboard together and added my photo and pretty flowers.

Here are a few close ups.

Memories Documented - Dusty Attic

Hello and welcome back to the blog today!

Don't you just love going back through old photos?  I always manage to find a few that I haven't had a chance to scrap and I came across these two sweet pics of my brother and my baby girl.  Not such a baby any more but I knew I had to scrap them!

I started by picking out some pretty paper.  This paper is from Dress My Craft.

Next I set about making a couple of clusters for both sides of my photos.

I knew I wanted to incorporate that beautiful Lacy Pendant Drops chipboard.  Oh my!  How stunning is that piece of chipboard?  So much fine detail.  So I decided to use that a a base to sit my photos on.  I kept it simple by just coating it with gesso.

From there I tucked under 2 of the smaller doilies from the Doily #2 set.  Again I kept this simple and just coated them with gesso.

For a pop of place I added the Distressed Filmstip down the right hand side of my page.  I gave it a quick cover with some black ink in random places.

Here are a couple of close ups for you

I finished off by using one of the sentiments from the Mini Captions #18 as my title.
