Its The Little Things

Hello paper people!

Not long now until Christmas - wow this year has truly flown!  So keeping in the Christmas spirit today I have a Christmas layout to share with you all.

Yep another pic of my little people when they were much younger and all dressed up for their school Christmas concert.

Here is how I created my layout.
Using the Honeypot die from the Background Savy collection, cut one from a glossy cardboard box.  I then poked out some of the pieces but also left some behind.  Using Glitzin Glamour, I then used the die cut piece as a stencil.

 .

I did this in random places over my page.

I then also stamped with a red inkpad to keep with the Christmas colours.

Once my background is done I made a very simple paper cluster from the Christmas Emporium papers.

I then picked out and die cut my embellishments.  I have used my favourite doily die - Rowena from the Amarylis Ornatmental Lace Die collection along with the Sharp flower die from the Kalini Collection and also the Cyad Fern die from the Everyday collection.

My flowers are the tied died jewelled florettes and also the english roses.

I then started to assemble my layout but went back and added the super sweet Dasher die from the Christmas Eve collection and poked some of the Tall Basket Flower die into my flower clusters.

Here is a closer look at the details

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments throught the year.  They really are much appreciated.  Wishing you all a wonderfully safe and blessed Christmas and New Year.

Birthday Cards

Hello and thanks for popping by

Today I have a couple of birthday cards to share.

I have used my favourite embossing folder - Tied Together from the Hearts Ease collection.  I love how elegant it makes a card look when embossed with pearl papers.

Here is a quick run down on how I made the card on the left.

First I cut a piece of pink pearl cardstock and randomly stamped over it with the butterfly stamp from the Hearts Ease stamp set.  Make sure you stamp off the page too so it doesn't look too uniform.

I then ran it through my embossing machine.

Your panel is now ready to be attached to your card base.

Here is a closer look

I used the Vintage Border die from the Vintage Rose collection along with the Edith and baby die from the Everyday collection.

Here is a closer look at the other card.

For my focal point I used the Quaintly Queenie die from the Amaryllis collection and again teamed it with the Vintage Border die and the Edith and baby die
