Life is Beautiful - Dusty Attic

Hello creative friends and welcome back the blog.

It's Jo with you today to share a simple yet effective layout.  This layout I have kept rather simple as I found that I was starting to add more and more and I really want my photo to be the star of my page.

So with some pretty papers and some awesome chipboard designs by Dusty here is my page.

I started with the Barbed Wire Frames and inked them partially in a brown ink.  I then snipped it not quite in half and added the larger piece to the left hand side of my page and the smaller piece to the right hand side.

The frame at the back is mounted on acetate to give a bit of a window look.

I then made a paper cluster for my photo to sit on and included the perforated mesh as well for a bit of a natural feel.

I kept my embellishment simple with this one.  Let the papers do the talking along with that beautiful big barbed wire frame.  I added some of the vintage keys and a title.

Cards with Uniquely Creative - Choose Your Own Adventure

 Hello and welcome!

Have you seen the super awesome new collection from Uniquely Creative?

Its a wonderful collection perfect for the men and boys in our lives.  This collection is perfect not only for scrapbook layouts but also for cards which is what I have to share with you today.

I created some cards but what I like to do first is go through the packet of Creative Cuts and make lots of little embellishments.  That way I can use them not only for cards but also for scrapbooking layouts too.

Here are the embellishments I made.

And I still had lots left over too!

With some of these I created cards.

With the left over embellishments I created 2 scrapbook layouts.  I will share them with you at a later date.

I love how these cards turned out.  Perfect for boys or men.  The top right is the favourite for me.

Until next time

Happy crafting

Cards With Altenew Classic Pine Stencil Set

Hello and welcome back to my little neglected blog.  I am trying to breath a bit of love back into my crafty space here so please bear with me.

I'm sharing with you today, some card I created using the Altenew Classic Pine Stencil set.  This is a 6 x 6 layering stencil set which I thought was wonderful for masculine cards and also lends itself to Christmas as well.

Here are my cards

These were the first two I created.  I used my distress oxide inks.  The one on the left I did on plain white cardstock but the one on the right I inked over the white cardstock first with some Speckled Egg.  I also used Rustic Wilderness and Walnut Stain.

In the first card with the white background I did the pinecones with both Vintage Photo and then in spots I added the Walnut Stain for a bit of extra depth.

I then decided that it would look good with some glitter paste for the pine needles and with a bit more of a pop of black.

You can find this stencil here

Thanks for popping by and spending a little bit of time with me!

See you soon!
