Love - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty friends and thanks so much for stopping by!

Today I am sharing my May design team project featuring some pretty chipboards.

My photo is of 2 of my babies when they were a lot younger and were nice to each other!  Now they are in real sibling mode!

Here is my layout

To start I chose this beautiful piece of paper from Penelope Dee as my background.

I then gathered my chipboard pieces.

To start I used the Vintage frame #2 to layer my papers on.  Originally I was going to make that the feature but I then decided to use it as a layering piece.  I coated in in white gesso and then added some crackle paste.  It is a little hard to see in the pic.

The clog custer is a favourite and it comes as a two piece set so I used the bigger one and painted it with a rough coat of pink paint.  I then went over it with some Prima metallic pink paint in places.  I tucked it under the photo cluster and vintage frame.

Here is a closer look below

Next I gave a double coat of white gesso to the Elegant Pearls chipboard.  I decided to snip it in pieces and tuck it under in a couple of places rather that use it in one piece.

Again here is a closer look.  I also added some pearl gems to them too.

Added my flowers and of course some foliage (I never know which one to use, there is so many awesome designs to choose from!)

To finish off my page I kept my title simple by using the word Love.  This is from a three pack Live, Love Laugh.  A great little pack as you can use all three or just split them up and use them separately.

Thanks again for stopping by.  I hope you find a little time to be creative!

May Mood Board - Dusty Attic

Hello!

Can you believe we are in May already??  Seriously wasn't it just last week we were celebrating Christmas?  The year is flying by and we are now starting to get a few cooler and wet days here in Australia.

This months mood board will certainly keep some of those dreary days at bay!

Oh my - seriously this is just sooooo pretty!

From the flowers to the bike to the colour palette.  This is definitely a favourite!

Here is my layout

I stuck with the soft pretty feel of the mood board.  To start I added some stencilling to the background but as per usual before I knew it I had covered most of it up.  I then added the Fancy Frame to the back of my photo and paper layers.  I painted it in blue.

I tucked under my flower clusters a little doily from the Doily # 5 set which I painted in purple.

Also under the flowers are the Fancy Accents #2 again painted in blue.

Here is a closer look at those clusters.

I have also tucked in the Corner flourish.  This flourish is fantastic to use on a corner but I have kind of put the pointed end into the flower cluster .

I finished off with the Wordpl@y # 3 in three places as my title and to give my layout a bit of pop with the black.

I hope I have inspired you to give the mood board a go this month.

Look forward to seeing your creations!
