21 Today! - Dusty Attic

Hello and thanks for joining me.

I really am a bit of a lazy scrapper.  I don't scrap in any order.  I don't print photos to scrap I just print and scrap whatever I feel and however I like.  Hence these pics on this layout are from my eldest boys 21st which was 2 and a half years ago!

I enjoy scrapping like that.  It means I get to go back over photos and re-live those memories.

So here is my layout to document that moment in time.

I tried to go with a bit of a mechanical vibe as he is a mechanic.

I made one big long border using the perforated mesh border and I then added some of the broken bits - numbers (these are one of my favourite pieces of Dusty Attic chipboard)  Do you have a favourite?

I also added in the pipworks and machine parts too and just made a bit of a cluster of chipboard.

Here are a couple of close ups

I have also added some metal cogs just to mix it up a bit.

Moodboard March - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty fans and welcome back!
Jo here with you today to share my take on this months delicious mood board.

This months moodboard has a really autumn feel to it.  Reminds me of the end of hot summer days and the start of falling leaves.  As much as we need the rain I do like those warm evenings!

I decided to make some cards.

To start with I created some little chipboard embellishments

This was so easy!  I diecut some alcohol ink circles and then added my chipboard pieces which I quickly covered with ink.

I have used the Industrial Globes, Mosaic Panel and Tribal Arrows.

I then added some distress ink to a whie background panel and added my embellishments.

Super quick, super easy.

Here is a look at each card.

Best Friends - Dusty Attic

Hello again!  I hope you are well and safe.  Jo here to share with you some Dusty Attic goodness.

I  have a layout to share today featuring some wonderful Dusty Attic chippy and a special pic of my mumma bear and I.  We dont often take pics of us together generally because we are on the other end of the camera.  This one was special as we celebrated her 70ish birthday with a surprise morning tea at home with a few of her dear friends.

I started with my photo and some paper layers and then added some of the chipboard doilies which were heat embossed with gold.  I then sat the whole lot on top of the Bali Border #2 which was also heat embossed.  On top of the Bali Border is the Vine Corner which I used more like a flourish than a corner.

I added a little umbrella to the blossoms and adered the Best Friends title to the top of the blossoms too.

To add a little more texture I added the stitched lines chipboard which I just covered with white gesso for a pop of colour.

Here are some close ups for you.

Moodboard Inspiration February

I'm back today sharing my take on this months moodboard for Dusty Attic.

Nice hey!

Here is my take

I started by adding some stencil work using the distressed grid stencil with some grey ink.

Then a made an embellishment and used that as my starting point.

I used the industrial corners and adhered them to a left over frame from a previous chipboard piece. (I dont throw anything away)  This gave me a starting point.  I then added some jumbo cogs and the marakesh broken bits.

Here is some close ups

Until next time
