With All My Heart - Dusty Attic

Hello and welcome.  Thanks for stopping by.

Today I have a layout to share with you using lots of Dusty Attic goodness.

I really liked the blue and lilac moodboard from last month so I decided to stick with those colours.

To start, I added a strip of pretty paper to the top of a white sheet of 12 x 12 cardstock.

I then added the Lattice by snipping it into smaller pieces and over the top of that I laid the oh so pretty French Garden Border.  How pretty is that piece of chippy!!  Both of those pieces I just added a very light coat of gesso.

The Mystic Frame was perfect for my photo so I covered that with distress oxide inks.

I then added all those pretty blooms along with some foliage and also tucked under one of the locket pieces from the Key To My Heart chippy set.  I embossed that with a little green embossing powder and added a smear of gold wax and black in to give it a bit of an aged look.

To finish off  I added my title which I covered with gesso and also again some of the distress oxide inks.  For a pop of black I have added the Wordpl@y.

I hope I have enjoyed my share today.

Until next time

Kaisercraft - Morning Dew

Hello and welcome back.

I'm sharing my last layout with the beautiful Morning Dew today.

I have to say, I loved working with this collection.  The colours were so pretty and those flowers were just divine!

This layout came together really quickly and was very simple.  I used the sticker pad and laid on all the sticker strips at different lengths to embellish the left hand side of my page.

I then added more of the stickers from the book to embellish.  By dusting over the back of them with my anti static pad, I was able to take off the stick and added some foam dimension tape.

Here is another close up of some of the details.

There are so many little bits and pieces in the book that made it easy to create with.

Thanks so much for stopping by

Until next time

Kaisercraft - Journey

Hello paper friends and welcome back to my blog.

Today I am continuing to share with you my work for Kaisercraft.

I  have created another layout with the beautiful Journey collection.

I started by adding a little bit of detail to my base page.  First I blended a little bit of ink over my page and then did a little stencil work blending some ink through a stencil.  The stencil I used is called Birch.

I then made a paper cluster from the beautiful 6 x 5 paper pad for my photo to sit on.

To ground my page a little bit I added a couple of strips of paper down the left hand side.

I die cut a few pieces of paper from the Texture Cross Lattice die and tucked them under my paper cluster.  This just added a little extra texture and interest without too much bulk to my layout.

The lanterns are from the collectable packs and were perfect to embellish the side of my photo.  I added some pearl strips again just to ground them a little.

Here is another closer look at some of the details.

I have also added in a few stickers from the sticker book.

Thanks so much for popping by.

Until next time

Mood board - June Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty fans!

Jo here for my take on this months moodboard.

Here is a look at it.

How lovely is that scene! So here is my layout.

I started with a white piece of cardstock (my usual) and added some inks and stamping to my background along with the damask stencil.

Then I added my photo and that beautiful Decorative Frame.  I have tucked under some of the Lattice for some added texture and some flowers along with some Foliage.

I kept my title very simple by using one of the flags from the Mini words and also added a key too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope I have inspired you in some small way to get a little crafty today!

Morning Dew - Kaisercraft

Hello and welcome back!

I'm continuing to share my work for Kaisercraft.  Today I am using the oh so beautiful Morning Dew collection.

This collection is filled with lovely greens and teals and beautiful florals too!

Here is my layout

I chose this beautiful line paper with a very soft print in the back ground for my base.

I then made a paper cluster from the 6 x 6 paper pads for my photo to sit on.  The cut apart sheets are another favourite as sometimes when I'm not sure where to start they can be a really good starting point.

Using the stamp set from the collection, I stamped some of the florals on to some white cardstock with black ink and fussy cut around them.

I then made my clusters using bits and pieces from the collectable pack along with the sticker sheet.

To give my page a little texture without adding too  much height I used the textured stain class die and cut a few pieces again from white cardstock.

Here is another close up.

I do have a few more shares with this collection and also the lovely Journey collection too so be sure to pop by again soon!

Until then

Kaisercraft Journey

Hello paper friends and thank you for stopping by.

As you may already be aware, I was asked by the lovely Melissa Kennedy from Kaisercraft to guest design for a few months.  I have to say I was over the moon and jumped at the chance.

Today I am playing with the new Journey release which is available now at your paper crafting stores.

Here is my layout

I absolutely love the colours in this collection.  So rich with the golden undertones of gold and red against the navy and black.  For me it had a real middle eastern feel to it.

I set about first with a couple of strips of the script paper down the left and right hand side leaving a good amount space in the middle .

I then made my paper cluster for my photo to sit on and die cut some paper using the honeycomb texture die.

Then I made my collectable clusters to sit just at the bottom of my photo and to the left hand side of my page.

The collectables are my favourite, they make creating a breeze and by adding in some of the wooden flourishes also gives some different texture.

Here is a close up look of my other cluster. I have also used a few elements from the sticker book and of course added my stamp splotches from the splat stamp set which I just can't seem to do without.

Thanks again for stopping by.  I will have more shares with this lovely collection soon!
