Mini Album - Blessed

Hey scrappy friends!

Welcome!

Today I am sharing a mini album I have created using the Blessed collection from Kaisercraft.  These papers are so bright and happy and so not something I would use for a mini album usually but I wanted to give it ago.

So this album is based on similar books I have created before so the flips and pockets are similar but I have made this one a bit bigger than I would usually create.  It measures 6 inches x 8 inches and I have also used a slightly different construction to make it too.  Because this is a bigger album there is a TON of room for pics in here!

Instead of a ribbon closure as I would normally do, I chose to use some magnets and love how this turned out!

Here are a few close ups for you

Think this is my favourite page of the book.  I made a fold out part on both sides and secured it with a belly band.  I did try this in my last album and wanted to try it again.

The papers are so bright and I found the larger patterns on the paper a little tricky to work with as they were really bold too but I think I made it work.  I fell in love with the beautiful florals in this collection.

If you would like to see a quick walk through of my album you can see it here

Beautiful, Happy, Hello, Fun - Bo Bunny

Hello scrappy friends!

Welcome to my blog.

Today I have another layout to share with you again featuring the Petal Lane collection from Bo Bunny.

I have really enjoyed working with the collection.

It was fun to work with colours  that you don't always work with.  I always seem to gravitate to pink but with the yellow and then add the black and everything just seems to come alive on the page.

The ephemera pieces were a little on the large side, but once I got used to them I enjoyed playing with them too.

I had some straws in my stash that matched perfectly and added a little bit of fun to the layout too.

The chippy words are from Scrapmatts and a couple of wood veneers that have been laying around in my stash for ages!

Happy Birthday Cards with Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty friends and welcome back!
I don't know about you, but I always like to have a couple of cards made up ready to go for when a birthday or an occasion creeps up on me

Unfortunately I'm not always that organised and I found myself again needing a couple of cards and quick!

So today I have a couple of cards to share with you
.
With a couple of beautiful chippy designs these cards needed very little else!  These were quick and super easy to make and still pack a bit of WOW too!

I have kept to my clean and simple style.

For my first card I used the beautiful Layered Garland

Before I adhered it to my white card base, I added just a little bit of blue distress ink.

I embossed both pieces with some gold embossing powder but on the top piece I added some blue Prima wax and some paint splashes.

Some pretty blossoms and my Happy Birthday sentiment which I just covered with some black ink.  I absolutely love this font!

Here is a closer look.

For my second card I used the Ornate Frame No. 1.  I covered this with some paint and then to give it a little sparkle, added some gold foil over the top in places.

I added some more pretty blossoms and also tucked in some foliage which I covered with distress ink.  Finished with the Happy Birthday sentiment.

Thank you so much for letting me share with you all.

Until next time

Petal Lane - Bo Bunny

Hey scrappy friends!

Sharing a layout today with some product that I have been hoarding.

This is the super pretty Petal Lane by Bo Bunny.

I think this has been sitting in my stash for a good year or maybe more.  I remember buying this one as I knew it would be a challenge for me to use yellow.

Here is what I came up with

This was a real challenge for me.

1.  I NEVER use yellow
2.  The ephemera pieces were HUGE!

But I am happy with how it turned out.

I love the freshness of the yellow and pink and with the black it all just "pops"

Here are a couple of close ups

I loved how the title came out.  I inked it with a pink inkpad and then just gently swiped some black over the top.

You can see here just how big those ephemera pieces were!

Spread Yout Wings - Colour Blast

Hey everyone and thanks for stopping by

In this part of the world at the moment its been extremely hot so I have tucked myself away in my little scrappy area and have been creating in the cool air conditioning!

Today I have a layout to share using the new Spread Your Wings collection from Colour Blast.

These beautiful papers are designed by the very talented Michelle Grant.

Here is my layout

I also used some Dusty Attic chippy.  The little lace doily was made from a silicone mat and some embossing paste.

Here are a couple of close ups

The chipboard flourish I inked using distress oxides and then added some Prima waxes over the top.

Here is a closer look at that doily.

The gold flourish is also made from silicone moulds and embossing paste and I have just painted it gold.

Butterfly Gardens - Couture Creations

Hey friends

Thanks for stopping by

Today I have another layout to share using the Butterfly Gardens collection from Couture Creations

I must admit I have struggled a little to use this collection as the tones are quite muted and a little on the yellow side for my clean white look that I usually go for but I think I still managed to make it work.

I love the simplicity of this layout.  Also how cute are those little buzzy bees.  They are a new stamp which I think may just become a bit of a fav for the foreseeable future.

Here are a couple of close ups

I also have a mini album that I have made with this pretty collection.  I am hoping to upload it soon to my new YouTube channel.

You can find me here

I would love for you to pop over and have a look.  Don't forget to subscribe!

Until next time

Memories documented with Dusty Attic

Hey hey!

Jo here to share with you my take on this months moodboard challenge for Dusty Attic.

First lets have a look at the inspiration board
.

How awesome is that!

Here is what I came up with.

I loved the whole natural bush feel of the mood board and straight away it took me back to when we were honeymooning a few years ago in Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.  What a truly beautiful place!  So many wonderful walk tracks.  I decided to scrapbook this photo of us walking one of the trails.

Again I have stuck to my clean and simple style and started by adding a few bits of coordinating papers to the back of my photo and then set about making one big cluster using lots of  Dusty Attic goodness.

Behind the paper cluster I added some of the chicken wire.  I didn't use it as a whole piece, just snipped little pieces of it.

On top of that I then placed the doily on top.  I then put my whole paper cluster with photo on top.

To give my layout just a little something extra I added those beautiful ginkgo biloba.  I love the detail in these!

The notebook edge border was just a little extra to add too along with an old clock and a kraft tag.

I kept my wording on this simple by using the mini caption #18 that says Memories Documented for my title and for an extra pop of black also added a little sentiment for the mini tags # 3.

Hope I have inspired you to have a go at this months moodboard.  I look forward to seeing your creations!
