Harmony Embossing Folders

Hello!  Well another month as sped past for me.  I am surrounded by boxes at the moment as we are in the process of moving house at the moment and things are hectic to say the least!

Amongst all that I realised that I needed two cards.  One for a birthday and it is also my hubby and my anniversary coming up.  I soon discovered that I had packed a lot of my scrapbooking supplies! HELP!!!

But with just some plain cardstock Couture Nesting Dies and some of the new release embossing folders from the Harmony range, here's what I came up with.

Looks like pattern paper just ran through with an embossing folder right??  Not quite.  Here's how I created these cards

First using the circle nesting dies cut a bunch of circles from different colour cardstock.

Then glue them together and then position them onto some white cardstock.  Then place the whole piece into the new Small Dots embossing folder from the Harmony collection and run through your embossing machine.  I then matted this piece onto some back cardstock and adhered it to my card base.

Finish with a sentiment stamped onto a piece of white cardstock cut from the Victorian Rectangle Nesting Dies and a couple of black banners.

It kind of gives the illusion of already made pattern paper.

Here is a close up of the other card I made using the same technique and the Hearts Nesting Dies and then using the another new folder Rainbow Wave again from the new Harmony collection.  I think this particular technique works best with embossing folders with a smaller continuous design.

Thanks for stopping by.  Until next time keep crafting!
