Lady Like by Kaisercraft

Hello Kaisercraft fans and welcome to todays blog post featuring the absolutely beautiful Lady Like collection.

Kaisercraft products:  P2874 | CT974 Collectables | SK820 Sticker Book | DD499 Texture Burlap die | DD630 Floral Frame Die

Oh my – seriously I think this would have to be my most favourite collection so far this year!  I am a huge fan of pink and this collection is just so soft and feminine.  Love everything about it from the little frames and key locks to those stunning florals and soft dreamy papers!

I started by adding a bit of texture to a white background and adhereing some of the Burlap die to a white piece of cardstock.

From there I made my flower cluster and cut out the middle of those frames.  Dont throw the little quotes away as they will come in handy for another project.  I also added some doilys just to give it a really girly look.

I printed my photo in black and white just to keep the whole feel of the layout soft and pretty even tho the photo also has my boys in.  Using pink doesnt bother me at all.

I have also used the floral frame die and added a little bit of patterned paper to the back of the flower just for a little something extra.

I loved creating with this collection.  Im sure I will be creating a few more projects with it.  Dont forget we would love to see your creations too on our Kaisercraft Corner page on Facebook.

Until next time

Happy crafting!

Jowilna Nolte
I started my paper journey officially in about 2000 as a shop assistant in a specialty paper store in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa after having studied Pastoral Psychology. Whilst I have been playing with paper and creating my own masterpieces at home for friends and family since the age of 10, the shop environment added the vast knowledge of handmade and imported paper as well as the common commercial types of paper. I also started teaching card making, stamping and altered art in store at the time.

Traveling abroad to trade shows like Paperworld in Frankfurt, Germany and CHA in America gave me an even broader insight into paper and its many uses. This prompted a keen interest in stamping, especially in the craft industry where scrapbooking seems to be my favourite. I have since gone on to be editor of two scrapbooking and craft magazines as well as being a contributing editor to several other craft magazines currently on the market. My work has been published extensively in local magazines and on the internet as well as in international publications such as Somerset Studios, Take Ten magazine, and Catch Up Issues. My love for publishing and sharing ideas, tips and techniques shifted me onto another career path and saw the publication of my first book in 2008. My second book was released in December 2010 and has been on the 4th best seller in South Africa since its release. In less than three months it has been sold out and is now in its second print. Scrapbooking has been a natural extension of my love for card making and stamping that also accommodates my love and passion for photography.

I currently teach regular classes and host workshops around the country that mainly focuses on different techniques and stamping, and how to incorporate them into your scrapbooking and card making. I currently design for various distributors in South Africa to promote their products and teach scrapbooking classes weekly as well being on various international design teams including Couture Creations. Creating can be a wonderful journey and therapy making sense of things where life cannot, and I have tuned my life into this philosophy.

Jo Simons
Hi! My name is Jo-Anne Simons (tho most call me Jo) and I live in Perth Western Australia. I’m a stay at home mum to 3 teenagers/young adults and happily married to the love of my life all of whom feature heavily in my work. About my work – I love to create layouts and cards.

I would describe my work as clustered, clean and pretty. My projects are quite structured with lots of layering, clustering and dimension Although I love to dabble in mixed media – I tend to always come back to my clean simple style. Scrapbooking for me isn’t just about memory keeping, it’s an outlet to be creative and just unwind from the daily stresses of life. I don’t really follow any rules in my papercraft – as long as I enjoy the process and am happy with the end results, then that is all that matters! I am extremely grateful and humbled to be a part of Creative Inspiration Live 2020 and cannot wait to share with you my passion for paper and all things Couture Creations!

Be Brave, Be Creative Be You!

Hey hey Kaisercraft fans.  Welcome!  Jo here with you today to share with you a layout I have created using the new Crafternoon collection.

Kaisercraft products:  Crafternoon   P2845 DIY | CR572 Collectables | CS369 Clear Stamp | PP1078 Paper Pad | Fl659 Flourishes

I found my my starting point and a bit of inspiration form the cut a part sheet so decided to build my layout around that.
To begin I cut a piece of white cardstock down and placed it over the pretty gingham papers.
Before I adhered them to the page I stamped around the page using the clear stamps from the collection.

I then made two paper clusters.  One for my photo to sit on and one for my quote to sit on.

I then started to tuck under all my little pieces from the collectables and added the branding strips along the top and bottom of the gingham just to frame it all a little.

You can download the instructions here
Visit your local stockist or go online to the Kaisercraft store if you feel inspired by this collection or by these projects. Have a great week!

Unchartered Waters - Kaisercraft

Explore – Unchartered Waters

November 14, 2019

Hi and welcome back to the blog.
Jo here with you today to share a layout with the new Uncharted Waters papers. This collection is perfect for all your seaside photos, boating or even just to create a masculine inspired page.

KAISERCRAFT PRODUCTS:  P2853 | P2854 | SK819 Sticker book | CT973  Collectables | FL660 Flourish Pack | DD494 Flora Branches | DD815 Sketched Circle
I chose to scrapbook this photo of my hubby and me while we were away down south in the beautiful Denmark area of Western Australia.  Oh the coast line is just stunning!
So many wonderful collectables to choose from in the pack and I started by clustering them all together to make a big focal point before adding my photo.
Here is a closer look at that cluster.

I love to start my layouts by making a clusters of embellishments and then working my photo in around them.  I have to say the collectables are always my favourite part of any collection.
Here is another close up.  I have added some die cuts from the Flora Branches die for a bit of texture and also the Sketched Circles die just to frame my photo a little too.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Family

Hello Dusty fans!

It's Jo and today I am sharing a layout with you.

So I started my layout by stamping randomly on the background paper using an ink splotch stamp.  I then set about choosing and prepping my chipboard pieces.

I have kept it simple today and used the Mystic Flourish #2, Iron Garnish # 4 and the Diamond Panel for some texture.

To start I applied some black gesso to the flourish and the iron garnish.  I then used the prima waxes to give them some colour.  I love the way the waxes pop when using a black gesso on chipboard.

I covered the diamond panel with white gesso and then again added some waxes over the top for brighter look.

You can see a little better here in the close ups

Here is another close up for you

Mood Board November Dusty Attic

Hello and welcome!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Can you believe we are now into November?  Seriously how fast has this year flown by.  The days here in Australia are definately starting to warm up and Summer is definately in the air!

This months moodboard is stunning!  Its pink and pink is my favorite colour!
The colour pallette reminded me a little bit of summer.  My first thought was gelato!

Lets have a look.

I love the combination of pink and yellow together.  Here is what a created

I started by tearing a strip of paper and adding it to the right hand side of my page.

I then set about layering and clustering my chipboard pieces.

To start I used the Lacey Nameplate.  I kept this simple and just covered it in gesso.  I then laid on top the Swirly Frame which I covered with pink ink.

From there I added my flowers but also tucked under the leafy flourish.  It has some gesso on and then a little bit of yellow paint in places.

I tucked under some of the Ginko Biloba that had some distress oxide ink on that I washed away with a little water.

I finished off with the Our Everyday Life sentiment from the Mini Captions #3 pack.

Here are a couple of close ups

And another

I hope I have inspired you to have a go at this months moodboard!
Until next time - happy scrapping!
