Memories - Dusty Attic

Hello Dusty Attic fans!

Jo here with you today to share with you a layout featuring my precious daughter and my beautiful niece.  I only have one niece and she lives way up the north of Western Australia in Kununarra so she doesnt get to visit Perth often.  This was special as she was organising her wedding dress for June so she had to come to Perth.  Unfortunately her wedding like so many others has been postponed because of Covid.  We did make the most of her stay here tho as with border restrictions in place we dont know when we will see her again.

I started my layout by covering the Decorative Scroll #2 chipboard with some pearlised ink and added that to my base page.  This page was perfect for me as I dont really do all that much mixed media and this one had all the messy work done for me!

I then created a paper cluser for my photo to sit on and adhered it to my page.

From there I added and tucked under my embellishments and flowers.  I used the chipboard cogs #3 along with one of the mini ornate frames #2.  I also tucked in the foliage #19 around my flowers.

Here is a closer look at some of the details

I hope you enjoyed my page.  Stay safe and keep creating!

May Moodboard - Dusty Attic

Well hello Dusty fans!  Welcome to the blog today.  I hope you're are all safe and well.

I'm here to share with you my interpretation on this months STUNNING moodboard.

Seriously - how pretty is this?  These are just my colours.  I am a pink girl through and through!

Here is my finished layout

I have to say tho, that this was a little different to start with.  It was on a white background with some stenciling behind it.  I even recorded a process video!  But I then changed my mind and ripped the whole lot off and put it on this pretty paper from AB Studios.

I used one of the new borders/trims Fancy Trim #4 which I covered with some ink and then set about laying both the Vine Frames #1 over the top.

I made a paper cluster for my photo to sit on and then tucked in the Ornate Mini Gates which I inked in gold.

Once I had all my other embellishments on I also added a small bird cage.

Heres a couple of closer shots

I hope I have inspired you a little and you give the moodboard a go.  We love to see your wonderful creations!
