Storyteller with Kaisercraft

Hi friends!

I have spent a lovely morning with some beautiful ladies teaching at Crafty Capers.  This week we featured the Storyteller paper line from Kaisercraft.  Just thought  I would share with you a couple more layouts that I have done with my leftovers from my kit.

I am really enjoying the white background at the moment and making use of my stamps that quite often sit lost and forgotten.

Here is one more.

Not only did I get three layouts out of this range but I also made 6 cards as well.  These are on display at Crafty Capers.

Thanks for stopping by.

Until next time

Reach For The Stars layout

Hey everyone!

Well we have finally moved and started to settle into our new home.  Phew!! Moving is such hard work.  I have my little scrap room set up and I have been "cranking" out the work!  Hehehehe.  Can't quite share all of it as some of it is for the new Couture Magazine that is coming out soon.

So I have been going through all my childrens school photos. Gosh I am so far behind!  What I decided to do was design a layout and then replicate it for all three children for that year.  Takes a lot of stress off by creating one layout for the whole lot of school photos rather than 3 different layouts. Anyway here is what I came up with. I love how this page turned out!

I have taken to using a lot of white cardstock of late and also pulling out my stamps to create an interesting background page.

Not many embellishments on this page but the colours and stamping just seem to pull it all together and make it pop.  A flair badge and a button along with a few sequins and viola!  My page is done!.

Thanks for popping by.

Until next time

CHA - Couture Creations Cards Part 2

I'm back to share my last lot of cards created for Couture Creations on display at CHA.

I have used the Sew Jo paper pad for this card and teamed it up with the circle and scallop circle nesting dies

I have also used the Victorian Square nesting dies for my sentiment.  Topped with a pretty butterfly and some hand stitching.

This next card was super quick and easy.  I don't often make "man cards" but this embossing folder was very masculine.

I used the embossing folder Lighthouse from The Harmony collection.  Using co-ordinations cardstock I was able to sand it back to give it that white washed look.  I then attached a game spinner on the compass part and stamped my sentiment.  Done!  So quick and easy!

So my last card to share is using another embossing folder from the Harmony collection called Chevron.  Again I have used co-ordinations cardstock and sanded it back.  I then used my trusty oval, oval scallop and victorian rectangle nesting dies to make my focal point.  I also embossed the oval piece with another embossing folder again from the Harmony collection.  This one is called Small Dots.  I have also cut a couple of banners from the Damask Delight paper pads.

Thanks for letting me share,  I feel so lucky to be able to work with such awesome products and be part of this fantastic team!!

Until next time

Mini Flip Album

Hello!  Today I am sharing a little mini album I have made using one 12 x 12 sheet of cardstock and the gorgeous Damask Delight paper pad

This did prove a little hard to photograph so I hope you get the idea of it.

Here is the cover.  It has a belly band around the middle to hold it together.  I have used the Chandeliers Set from the Momento Ornamental Dies collection to make the band.  I then cut 2 of the from the Heritage die which is part of the Glamour Days collection.  I stuck them side by side and overlapped them a bit.  I then stamped my sentiment onto the Cameo die.  This is from the Secret Treasures collection.  Stick it all together and you have your focal piece for the belly band.

This pic shows how the belly band looks when its slipped off the book so it can be opened.

The top part lifts up and has two pockets for tags or tickets.  I embossed the bottom part using the Asian Wave embossing folder from the Harmony Collection

The book then opens to the left.  I have kept my embellishments very simple as there wasn't a lot of room.

Peaking out you will see two doilies.  The is the Mirror Mirror die from the Madeline Ornamental Dies Collection.  I also used some silver Glitzen Glamour to fancy up my lamp post which is from the Glamour Days Collection.

The right hand page then flips up for more space for photos.  Down the side I have used the Chandeliers Set from the Momento Ornamental Dies Collection and also some jade coloured gemstones.

The next page is a little pocket and holds another tag.  I have used my heart nesting dies to embellish this page.

Hope you like my little flip book.  Below is a photo of how I have cut and measured my cardstock to make it.

This next pic will give you an idea how I folded it to make the bare bones of your mini.  There really isn't a right or wrong way to fold it.  By folding different ways you come up with a different book everytime.  This little mini album also makes up a lot quicker by just using a 12 x 12 piece of double sided patterned paper too.

Thanks for letting me share.  Hope I have inspired you to give it a try!

Until next time

Key To My Heart - Kaisercraft

Hello!

Just sharing a couple of pages that I created over the weekend using the Key To My Heart paper range from Kaisercraft for a class that I'm teaching next week.

These papers are so soft and pretty.

Here is the second one.  I actually think I like the second better than the first one.

Again I have gone with the white cardstock for my background and some stamping.   Yep looking at them both now, I definitely like this one better than the first!

Thanks for stopping by.

CHA - Couture Creations Cards Part 1

Hello and thanks for stopping by.

As promised I have fished out my cards to share.  These were on show along with my layouts in my previous post at CHA earlier in the year.

I have stamped my sentiment on to the new Ornamental Rectangle from the awesome Secret Treasures collection.  By using co-ordinations cardstock, I was able to sand back the border to show the detail a little more.

The doily has been cut in half and is called Lotus Filet from the Madeline collection

This next card uses the papers from the Damask Delights paper pad.  The blue and black look very striking together.

Isn't that flourish beautiful?  It's a new release from the Glamour Days collection  and is called Heritage.  I have stamped my sentiment onto some white cardstock using the Victorian Rectangle Nesting Dies.

Loving the colours of the black and blue I decided to use the same papers again on this next card.

The embossed piece is using one of the soon to be released A4 Embossing Folders.  Insert a big squeal here!  These are going to be FANTASTIC for not only cards but also scrapbook layouts.  The one I have used is called Royal George.  I have again used my Victorian Rectangle Nesting Dies for my sentiment.

That's it for today.  I will fish out my other cards and pop back a little later in the week to share the rest.

Hugs xx

Birthday Wish Card

Hello!!

I love when I get to make cards for people that really appreciate the effort that goes into it..  The card I have to share today is for a special lady who is celebrating a special birthday.  Lots of layering in this card.

To start I have used the beautiful papers from the Damask Delight paper pads.  I love this stripe paper.  Reminds me of liquorice allsorts!

I matted both sheets of paper onto some black cardstock.  Before I stuck them onto each other I tucked a doily underneath.  The die I have used is called Mirror Mirror and is from the Madeline collection.  I have only used half.  Don't throw the other half out, you can use it on another project at a late date.

The long lace strip that runs along the card is from the Chandeliers set from the Momento collection.  This is a long strip but can quite easily cut down for cards.

Once that strip is in place I then used both the oval and scallop oval nesting dies.  I have stamped my sentiment in the top corner .

I cut two hearts from my hearts nesting dies with chipboard and covered them with some paper again from the Damask Delight paper pads.  I added some flowers and also some pretty self adhesive pearls

Thanks for stopping by, until next time
