Hello paper people and welcome back to the blog again.
Jo here today to share with you a layout a created using the new L'Aquarelle range.
The inspiration for this layout came from the gorgeous inspiration cards in this collection
I love these little cards as sometimes I like to leave little quotes on my page that work not only as a title but also leave behind a little "something to think about" too. I also wanted to create a layout for my boy. Yep I know it has flowers and is not grungy or "boy" looking as such, but I'm not one for all this pink has to be for girls and blue has to be for boys kind of thing. I enjoyed the process and that's all that matters right?
So I fussy cut out some flowers and also made these burlap flowers too.
Yep the burlap flowers I die cut from an older die set called Clavelina Layers from memory. The dies cut perfectly through the burlap.
To make my page a little more masculine I found a couple of pieces of chipboard floating around my stash and I then made them look all pretty using a mixture of both these embossing powders
You will also see that there is also a couple of doilies from the Ooh La La collection as well as some of the smaller ones that were cut from Enchanted Tea Party Die Doily Set.
I also added in some metal trinkets too just to tie in with the metal look of the embossing powder.
Here is a couple of close up shots.
And one from the other side. Its a little hard to see but the two colours of the embossing powder together has given that chipboard fantastic depth.
Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your lovely comments you leave. They really are very much appreciated.
Until next time
