Tropical Punch with Kaisercraft

Hello and thanks for stopping by my little part of the cyber world.

Today I have a couple of older layouts to share with you.  I created these a little while ago and have forgotten to pop them on my blog

These layouts were created using the Tropical Punch paper collection from Kaisercraft.

Very bright and very different.

The pic is of my beautiful boys at our wedding a year or so ago and my thinking was it was ok to put flowers as they had flowers on too.  Just doing what I love to do I spose.

Here is a closer pic of some of the details

You will see in both these pics the little embellishment clusters that I generally make up and then store to add to my pages at a later date.

Thanks again for popping by

Until next time

Remember this moment

Thanks for popping by today.

I have been on a bit of a blue theme lately.  Here is another layout.

I love how this turned out.

For this layout I used some pretty napkins for the background.  I then added some texture paste over the top.

Here is a closer look

The frame is a spellbinders die that I cut using chipboard.  I then used my embossing powders to create a bit of a shabby look

The napkins look fantastic on paper - almost like it has been printed on.

They can become a bit of an addiction tho.  I find myself wandering the shops looking for the $2 cheap stores and all their pretty napkins!

Until next time

Hugs

Cherish Layout

Hello paper friends

Just a quick share today using a colour that I don't tend to use a lot of - blue

This layout is a little loaded up with embellishments and stuff .

I'm not too sure who made these papers.  Think it may be Maja designs.  I stamped on the bottom of that blue with some versamark and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  I then added lots of paper layers and also some 2Crafty chipboard in the shape of hearts.  That was also embossed with embossing power.

Here is a couple of close ups.

That little charm that is hanging is actually a cheap bit off an old necklace.  I did have plans for using it on a mini album but thought it looked good on my page.

Finished with lots of Prima flowers and that pretty butterfly die.

Thanks for popping by

Happy scrapping

Ooh La La - Mini Album

Hello paper friends, Jo here again.

I have to say I am loving the new Ooh La La paper range.  It is perfect for old pics.  I had some all photos of my mum when she was a little girl tucked away in an envelope and this paper range was calling for me to make a mini album.

This post is a little photo heavy but I hope you enjoy.

On the cover I have used one of the ephemera die cuts from the pack and also the Nested Labels Set.

I also found that some of the mixed primrose flowers from the Seasons Greetings collection went perfect with the collection.

On the spine of my book I used the pretty lace and velvet ribbon from the ribbon and lace pack.

So before I added my photos to my pages I made little paper clusters and added some ephemera and also a heart doily.  I kept the embellishments very simple with just a couple of flowers.

I have tucked the other die cut from from the Intrinsic & Ornamental Set behind this photo on the left hand side

On the right had side I created a pocket.  As I was going through the photos I found a few of them had my dear nans hand writing on the back so I didn't want to stick them down.  Those are precious memories!  So a pocket was the perfect place to house them.

The right hand side of this page has a little flip page.  Underneath is another little cluster of papers and a photo.  The flap underneath is blank for journaling.

This page on the right also has a flap that opens to the left

Here is a pic with the flap open.  Underneath those two tags is another pocket to house them in.  I have left the back of my tags blank for journaling.

This photos is a favourite.  It is a photo of my nan and pop and my mum.  They all had their Sunday best on as the queen was in Perth in 1954 and they went to stand on the side of the road to wave at her!.  Those little tags are from the ephemera pack and I have left them there so that my mum can journal on them her memories of that day.

I have made a belly band on the left of  his page to hold another couple of photos.

The page on the left I have kept very simple.  I love this little embellishment!  I used some cardboard and cut two of one of the Intrinsic & Ornamental Set.  I then covered them with gold embossing powder.  I did the process twice and it has come up looking like a real metal embellishment!

Another simple page for the last one in the book.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Until next time
