Couture Creations Design Team Audition 2014

Hi everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Well my time on the Couture Creations is fast coming to an end.  I have had  a wonderful time on this team and absolutely love their products that when the call went out for the new DT for 2014 I had to put my hand up for another go.

Here are my projects that I am submitting.

I decided to go with 2 cards and 2 layouts.

For my first card I have used some distressed ink and the Powder Puff embossing folder.   Teamed it with a doily die and my heart nesting dies and then finished with my sentiment and a blossom.  Added some Glitzing Glamour for some sparkle.

I love how this turned out with the soft pastel colours.

My second card I stuck with the soft pastel colours again.  This time I used some Co-ordinations cardstock and a couple of my favourite Couture embossing folders.

I then used one of my favourite doily dies  and the beautiful butterfly die.  This is another favourite :)  Added my sentiment and a blossom in the middle of the butterfly.  I did cheat a little on this card and instead of hand stitching all around my squares, I faux stitched with a white gel pen and my trusty paper piercer.

I love love love how this layout turned out!  I used a variety of Couture doily dies and cut my photo in to a circle using my circle nesting dies, instead of the usual shape photo.  I placed a heap of flowers around the page and then tucked in a few black flourishes for to make my page "pop".  I have again used the butterfly die and added some gemstones to the middle.  This time I decided to hand stitch around my page and also up through the middle of my banners.  A bit of texture paste and some stamping for a little extra interest and my page was done.

This last layout is definitely a little different for me!  So bright and cheery.  I have used the chevron embossing folder on some pattern paper and sanded it back to show the white underneath.  Using the star border die I cut two but reversed one to make a bit of a border along the bottom of the photos.

I cut 2 hearts from the nesting dies using cereal boxes and then cut them again using patterned paper to fit directly over the top.  Just gives it a little more dimension.  My Victorian Rectangle nesting dies always seem to get a good workout as they are so good for sliding in different places to use as tags.

Seriously I have had the best time ever on this wonderful team.  Good luck to all the other gals that are trying out for the team.

Until next time
