Life Is Beautiful

Hello! I don't know about you but when it comes to scrapping Christmas pics I seem to have a wad load from years ago that I am still ploughing through! I don't enjoy scrapping them either as it seems to be a little like ground hog day but nothing wets the appetite than a new paper range! The new Christmas papers and dies are STUNNING and certainly did the job.

Here is my layout

I am really enjoying scrapping on white at the moment and with the really pretty holly leaves fussy cut out of the paper, the page just seemed to "pop".

This was a simple page to create. I made my paper cluster and then fussy cut some of the holly out of the new Christmas Emporium paper. I teamed my holly up with the super sweet tie dyed jewelled florettes. I have tucked half of the Scrolled Tomentosa die under my photo. I cut this out of cereal boxes and then embossed with gold. How pretty are those new Christmas baubles? This die is called Trinket and is from the new Christmas Eve collection. I have cut them from glitter cardstock.

For my title I have used the Life Is Beautiful die from the Kalini Die collection.

Lace Pockets & Fun Folds

Hi crafty people! It's Jo and its my turn to inspire you all today :)

Today I have some fancy folded cards that feature the new Tied Together Saxony die from the new Lace Pockets collections.

These super sweet little pockets mean that I could make some fancy folded cards without having to worry too much about where to write my message as I had the little pocket on the front to house some tags to write my sentiment and message on.

The cards are just "Z fold" cards.

I have used the 6 x 6 Vintage Rose paper pad to create both cards.

The tag for this card I used one of the little postcards that is in the 6 x 6 Vintage Rose paper pad.

Happy Days

Hello paper people!

Another quick layout share today for you all.

I love love love girly pages and flowers always are a feature. On this page I have had a lovely time making my own flowers with the new Clavelina layers from the new Floral Layers Intricutz Die and also the Sharp Flower die. This one is from the Kalini collection.

Here is how I created the background first.

I love this little die. Its called Jocund Julie and its from the Amaryllis collection. I cut it out of thick cardstock and then used it as a stencil. I also cut a couple more out to peek through my stitched border at the top and bottom and also the side of my photo.

I then used the Hearts Ease Borders and Butterflies stamps and randomly stamped over my page. From there I made my paper cluster and then all those delish flowers.

The flowers were easy. I just cut a few out and then added a couple of different inks bent them and twisted them a little and added stamens. The gold glittery flowers are made with the Sharp Flower die and I have just added a jewelled flower to the centre.

The purple scrolls that are also part of the flower cluster is part of a die set. I have used the other part just peeking out of the top of the photo. Its like an ornate frame. Its called Mirrored Flourishes and its part of the Kalini Collection.

Here is a close up with all the detail.

There are a few bits and pieces from the ephemera pack and the title is actually the Happy Birthday die. Just use the word Happy and add to it.

Beautiful Moments

Hi there! Jo here to share with you a layout I have created using the gorgeous Hearts Ease collection.

This photo is really special to me so I wanted to really make my page pretty but not take away from the pic. Yep these are my gorgeous kids on my wedding day earlier this year.

So I started with cutting my white sheet of cardstock a little and matting it onto some of the Hearts Ease papers from the 12 x 12 paper pad. I then created a bit of a messy background using some mists and texture past.

I had heaps of scraps from my 6 x 6 Hearts Ease paper pad, so I made a paper cluster.

You can see I have also tucked in a couple of doilies from the super sweet Frames and Frills collection. This one is called Elissa. Before I tucked them in I stamped them with the Hearts Ease Stamps for a little bit of added interest.

From there I have used the Hearts Ease Ephemera Pack and some of the white flowers that I misted and glitter up.

You will also see a few dies as well. I cut lots of the Sparrow on a Branch die from the new Secret Garden collection, cut off the little bird and used that for the foliage with my sprayed flowers. Also you will see some of the Honeypot die from the Background Savy Collection.

To draw your eye into the pic I have cut a pretty frame from the Barossa Frame die.

Mens Cards

Hi there paper friends.

Today I decided to step out of my comfort zone a little. My work is predominately very girly and pretty but every now and then we need man cards. So I pulled out a couple of dies and some super cool embossing folder and this is what I have come up with.

With just a couple of embossing folders and some inks and white cardstock you can create some cool background effects.

Here is a quick run down on the cog card using the Grungy Cogs and Gears embossing folder from the Mikashet collection teamed with the Gears 2 dies set from the Kalini collection

Using some distress inks I have blended 3 colours over my white card base. I then ran it through my machine with the embossing folder.

After it has been embossed, I gently hit the tops of the embossed areas with a little bit of darker ink just to give it more definition.

Now for the gears. I cut a few of the gears from old cereal boxes and cut them twice and layered them. Just makes them a little stronger and also creates a bit of added texture to your card.

I then pressed them into my VersaMark ink pad and then heat embossed them with some gold embossing powder.

Just give them a couple of minutes to cool down then with a Stazon black ink pad (Stazon is the best for this as it doesn't smear) gently swipe it over the gears to give them a more aged look. I have also used the Feathered Arrow die and some of the 2mm black gemstones just to finish the card..

Here's a closer look at my second card.

To create the background for this one, I have used the Chain Link embossing folder from the Hearts Ease collection.

This time I have again used distress inks but have used a sponge dauber to gently sponge some areas on the folder and then placed my paper in the folder and ran it through your embossing machine.

The super cute diecut (perfect for Fathers Day) is called Father and Son Fishing and is from the Kalini die collection. I have cut it out twice. Once in black and once in the same blue that I matted my card on. I then used the blue negatives from the die to piece back into the die to create a little scene.

Too easy! I always struggle with masculine but am really happy with how these turned out.
