Hey everyone!  A quick post this morning and a big happy birthday to my lil man who is turning 12 today.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSHUA!

July Sketch - Mad About Scrappin

Hey everyone!  Thanks for dropping by.  I have been a little slack with blogging lately.  The days seem to fly by and the children have been on school holidays too.

Just wanted to pop by and remind you all that the July sketch is still up and running at Mad About Scrapping. Here is the sketch (another from the fantastic Em Stafrace).

I have been having a play around with the new Miss Match papers from Kaisercraft.  Very pretty.  This is one of the layouts I completed.

The papers are so pretty.  Looking forward now to having a play with the boys range that came out with this one.

I also made some cards with this paper too.  One is an easel card and has a little drawer underneath it.  Perfect for a block of chocie for someone special  :)  The other is a pop up card.  It folds down to post.  Im teaching this cards as a class so if your interested flick me an email and I will let you know the details

Sad News

Hey everyone!

 I haven't really done much the last week or so. Its been a rough week in our family as we had a very sick pet. We had to make the heartbreaking decision to put her to sleep. Oh my goodness, I thought my heart would break! We have had this little cat for near on 18 years. When she was 3 she was hit by a car and paralized. My hubby was told to have her put down. He decided to keep her so all this time he has been expressing her bladder and looking after her with so much love she is became like one of the kids. She was so dependent on us as she couldn't go outside. She gave us all soo much love. She would sit with my little girl while she dressed her in dolls clothes and bootees. She was wheeled around in dolls prams and just generally always a constant companion. We are all heartbroken and it will take some time to adjust.  Here is a photo of her.

She was just the most gorgeous and affectionate little cat.  We are missing her terribly :(

On some happier news, I made top 4 at the Feeling Sketchy challenge blog!  But to make it even more exciting, my name was in print next the the absolutely fabulous Liz Webber!!!!  OMGosh, what a buzz!  I have really been enjoying these sketches and all of the work is just amazing.

As I haven't done much thought I would share with you a couple of layouts that I completed for my DT commitments with Mad About Scrappin'.  This kit was so much fun to work with and I love the colours.

A layout and a card

Hey everyone.  Thanks for stopping by my little part of the cyber world.  Life has been a little hetic this week.  I turned another year older with a birthday on Wednesday.  I was extremely spoilt by my dear friends and family and had a lovely day.

Will post some pics a little later of some of the beautiful gifts I received.

Anyways, firstly I thought I would have another go at the Feeling Sketchy challenge for this week.  Im really enjoying this sketches.  Its a great way to kick start the ole mojo!

Mad About Scrappin June Sketch

Hey everyone.  Thanks for stopping by.  Well the weather has really turned wet here and I'm lovin it!  Always the perfect excuse to stay indoors and scrap away!

Feeling Sketchy Challenge

Hey everyone!

Just a very quick post today.  I have been following a blog called Feeling Sketchy for a little while now.  They have challenges every week.  This week I decided to jump in and have a go.  This is the sketch that we had to go from.  It could be a scrap page or a card.  I decided to go with a card.

And this is what I came up with
