Mini Album - Moments

Hey everyone!  Its my turn on the blog today and I have a sweet little mini album to share with you.  You may want to grab a cuppa as its a little photo heavy.

Yep, I used the A6 Couture Card and Envelope packs to construct my album.

Here is a closer look

The base of the page is made using the envelope which then allows me to use the cards in the set to slide into the page to create an interactive book.

This is a top loading pocket so the whole card pulls out.

I didn't put photo mats on each page as I really wanted to leave that pretty paper to do its thing and just look pretty!  I have used the 6 x 6 Hearts Ease papers pad for my mini album.

The photo mats were embossed Liliputana Curtain folder from the Hearts Ease collection.

I then very gently rubbed a brown ink pad over the embossed part to give it an aged look.

My embellishing throughout the book I have tried to keep simple.  On this page I have used the Edith and Baby die from the Everyday Essentials collection and also the really pretty Keepsake Kandy die from the Amaryllis collection.

The flowers are a mixture and I have just coloured them with mists and inks.  The flourish is from the soon to be released Secret Garden collection.  Its the Butterfly Flourish 2 die.  I have just snipped bits off and poked it under my flower and doily.  To frame the opposite page I pulled out an older die from the Vintage Rose collection - Vintage Border.  This was and still is a favourite of mine.

To create my embellishment cluster on this page I have used the Mandshurica die from the Hearts Ease collection.  I have also made use of my paper pad and fussy cut out some flowers too.  The leaf die is one of the Background Savy dies called Evergreen.

The page has a pocket on so I decorated a card from the pack and just used it as a photo mat.  The embellishment is one from the Ephemera Pack and the sentiment is from the Kalini die collection.

I framed this page with the Barossa Frame die and on the opposite page used another card and chopped a little off to make a fold out page.

All the little tags are from the Ephemera Pack and also cut from the paper pad.

For this page I used a magnet  to help keep the pages closed.

I fussy cut from the paper again to create this embellishment cluster but I also used the Tall Basket Flowers from the Kalini collection and just snipped pieces off.  This die is fantastic for filling in your flower clusters.

There is a little pocket on this flap that I have again tucked in some tags from the paper pad.

I love this paper so I didn't want to cover it up.  I have just used half of the Scrolled Tomentosa die from the Hearts Ease collection.

Phew!  Thanks so much for sticking around.  It was a long post!

Until next time

Elegant Card Cuts

Hello lovelies!

Just a couple of cards to share today using the super neat Elegant Card Cuts dies.

Again a couple of simple cards using gold glitter cardstock and some gold mirror card.

Here is how I made one of the cards

Using the 6" x 6" Hearts Ease Paper pad I chose a base piece and then made my paper cluster.

I then die cut all my pieces.  I have used a new die from the Secret Garden Collection - Short Flower Basket and teamed it with the Tall Basket Flowers from the Kalini collection.  I also cut a doily from the Frames and Frills Collection - Elissa Set.  Originally I was going to also use the Honeypot die but you will see on the final card that I changed my mind.  Also when I cut the basket, I cut one out of thing cardboard too just to make it a little sturdier.

Next using some gold glitter cardstock I cut from the Vierge Square die.  Oh boy - this die is truly stunning.  Would look great as a background die for a photo on a scrapbook page!

I then started to layer up my card as you can see from the next few pics.

When I attached the basket I gently rolled it a little to give it a 3D look.

Here is the final card with a few gemstones and a sentiment stamp on from the Heats Ease Frames and Sentiments stamp set.

Here is a closer look at my other card.  This one didn't have any layers just let the gorgeous Barossa Frame die be the superstar on this card.  I teamed it with a doily (of course).  Its the Quaintly Queenie die from the Amaryllis collection.  The blossom in the middle is the beaded flower with script print. and I have added the Strawberry Leaf die too.  The sentiment was stamped with the Hearts Ease Frames and Sentiments set.

Happy crafting and until next time
