Graphic 45

Hello!

Well its that time of the year again for my children with the dreaded school photos.  I hate scrapping school photos.  It always seems to be the same old thing.  I thought I would have my pages all done and ready to pop a photo on but one look at my box of photos showed that I still have so many school shots to scrap!

So I pulled out last years photo of my big boy and the gorgeous G45 papers.  These papers were awesome to use!

He looks extremely scruffy with his long hair but I am looking forward to this years pic as he has just had all of his hair cut off!

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely weekend!

La La Land Cards

Hi everyone!

Sorry I have been a little slack with blogging lately.  We have just finished school holidays so we have had a lovely time and we have also been super busy with our new edition.  Yep I went a go a puppy.  He is sooo very cute!  Photos to come later!

Just a couple of cards to share today.  Both are La La Land images.  One is coloured with Copics and one with Prismas.  Would love your opinion on which one you prefer.  I really struggle with the Copics and find it so much easier to use my Prisma pencils but I love the look of Copics.

This card I have made for my bestie who is now living in England.  I have packed up a heap of home goodies here that she cant get over there like Tim Tams and Smiths crisps to send over to her.  I have used Copics on this  card.  I still have a long way to go with using these pens!

The next one I made for my little man who has just turned 13!!! OMGosh!  Where have those years gone?   I used my pencils on this card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Feeling Sketchy No. 65

Hello friends!

We are now into the second week of school holiday here in the West and I have had a lovely time being home and creating!

Here is my card for this weeks sketch over at Feeling Sketchy, but first the sketch

I have rotated the sketch a little this time and kept it simple and clean with some embossed white card matted on black to make the whole thing "pop".

So why not head over and have a go!  Some great prizes up for grabs this month with our fabulous sponsor Flourish With a Bling.  We love seeing your creations!

Remember This Moment layout

Hi eveyone.  My turn again on the Couture Blog today :). I am seriously loving working with these awesome products!

I am slowly going through my mum and dads wedding album and scrapping all their photos and hoping to have it done in time for their 50th wedding anniversary in a year or two.  What a huge job!

I have used lots of Couture goodies on this page.  I started by embossing some patterned paper using the Large Damask Flourish embossing folder  and then sanding over the top.

Then using my Victorian Square Nesting Dies I cut out a couple of "tabs".

To make my photo mat, I used Scallop Rectangle Nesting Dies.  I cut two and placed them on top of each other.

My flowers were made using the Roses Nesting Dies.  I cut out a few.

Scrunch them up.  You don't need to be too careful.  It all adds to the look.

Then layer them on top of each other and finish with some gem stones

I love this embossing folder for leaves!  I have used Turkish Delight embossing folder with some core paper and sanded it pack to leave a white washed effect.  Cut around the leaves and tuck under your flowers.

Next, I went nuts with the hand stitching!  I LOVE to stitch on my papers and I love the look that you get with the hand stitching and doubling up your cotton.  So, using my Paper piercer from the 3 piece tool kit I stitched all around all of my papers.

Using the Kaleidoscope Heart die I cut out this heart using felt.  I ran it through my machine a couple of times just to make sure it cut right through.  No problems at all!  I like how it just gives my flower cluster some different texture.

Finished off with Lily G doily die and my favourite Tranquility die.  I also slipped in a strip off of the Pastorale embossing folder.

Thanks for letting me share :)

Until next time

Shaped Easel Cards

Hey everyone, it's Jo and I'm up on the Couture Creations blog today to show you how I have created this little shaped easel card using the Couture Creations Nesting Dies.

Fold a piece of cardstock in half and place the largest die from the Victorian Square Nesting Dies onto the folded card with just the edge of the die hanging over the fold.

Run this through your cuttlebug.  This is now your bottom half of your card

This is what you will be left with.  Fold the top piece in half so that the card can stand.

Cut out another white piece in the largest die and attach it to the bottom of the folded part of the card.

Next I used the largest die and traced around the middle of it and cut it out by hand so that I had a smaller border

I then ran it thru my cuttlebug using the Crazy Daisy embossing folder.  I used core cardstock and sanded back the top.

I then used my paper piercer from the 3 piece handheld tool set to be able to hand sew around the edges.

It is then just a case of embellishing this piece and attaching it to your card.

I have used the Enlightenment die underneath the paper flower and also the Tranquility die

I have tucked a core-dinations tag behind the flower and also used the Turkish Delight embossing folder for the leaves.

Mount your sentiment onto the bottom half of the card with mounting foam so that the card can stand up.

Here is another one I made using the scallop and circle nesting dies.

Until next time,
