Hey friends!
Couture Creations is having a design team call and I absolutely LOVE dies and embossing folders, not to mention their gorgeous flowers, so I thought I would apply.
We had to submit 4 items. So here they are!
I love how this card came together. By using an embossing folder it just gives it a bit more dimension and texture. A nesting die and a pretty flower to complete the look. This paper is from the Carta Bella line Devoted.
This one is a bit different for me in the way that they are colours that I would never ever use normally. They are from Bo Bunny Hello Sunshine collection. I'm very much a pink and pretty colour chick but I was really pleased with how this turned out. Again an embossed banner down the middle and a couple of nesting dies. So easy and simple!
These next two projects are for my little girls birthday coming up in a couple of weeks. Yep my baby is turning 10! She wants to have a craft party so how could I say no to that?? Of course I had to make the invitations. I have made quite a few invitations in the past and for the last two years I have made them for the year 7 graduation at school. The first thing I do when I make them is go straight to my embossing folders. I love that I get some really lovely results with just a few embossing folders and dies and I dont have to use all my pretty papers, just some different coloured cardstock. Most people throw their invites away after the event and I can't bear to think of my pretty papers sitting in a bin somewhere!
The top and bottom flap open up to show all the party details.
So we had to have some party bags too. These were made with a small paper bag and I have just stuck to pieces of card to the bag and then embellished them.
So fingers crossed now! There are some amazing ladies applying too. Liz Webber to name one. Oh my how I love her work!
Enjoy your week everyone and thanks for stopping by.

Flutter By Wednesday's Challenge
Hey everyone!
I have been looking around the big wide cyber world and came across another fun little challenge blog called Flutter By Wednesday's.
They have a sketch to go from and the only other requirement was that your card had to have a butterfly or a fairy on it. Well I had to jump in. Butterflies are really special to me. They remind me of my beautiful aunty who died a few years ago from cancer. I usually always have a small butterfly on my cards even if I just stamp the back. Just a little reminder that she is always with me! Anyway here is my card

Friday Sketch Challenge
Hey friends!
Just a quick share today. I found another neat challenge blog called Friday Sketch. Heres my entry
I have used the Spring Jubilee papers from Pink Paislee. Such pretty papers. Also a new die from Memory Box called Hanging Hearts and of course some hand stitching. I am still stuggling with my copic pens. I did use them to colour some of this gorgeous Tilda stamp and I also used my trusty ole prisma pencils too.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mad About Scrappin Challenge
Hello! Happy Friday! Yay the weekend is here at last!
Just sharing some exciting news. I'm now creating again for the lovely Leanne at Mad About Scrappin! I was so happy that she has asked me back for another term designing for her.
This months challenge was to use two techniques, cluster of embellishments and a fav colour combo to create a card, layout or off the page. I decided on an easel card.

This months challenge was to use two techniques, cluster of embellishments and a fav colour combo to create a card, layout or off the page. I decided on an easel card.
My first technique was colouring with my Prisma colours. This image is a digital design from Funky Kits. How sweet is she!! Love her! My second technique is stitching. I am MAD about stitching at the moment. It is all done by hand coz as most people know, my machine and I don't really get along very well! I love the look that the stitching gives. Kinda just finishes those edges off.
Here is a close of up of my embellies
As for my fav colour combo, I have so many that I like. Pink is my fav colour but because I couldn,t choose, I decided to go with one of my favourite paper collections at the moment. I chose Kaisercraft's The Lakehouse . Love the soft vintage feel to these papers.
So why not have a go? We would love to see your take on the sketch and there is a fantastic prize up for grabs. Pop over and check out the blog or the Facebook page for deets.
Enjoy your weekend, and try and stay cool. We are in for a few stinking hot days now. Yuk!

Good morning everyone!! And happy back to school day for all those here in the west. Yep the kiddies are back and I must say I was a little sad to see them go. The house is extremely quiet.
Anyways that leaves more time for scrapping. Yay!!.
Its a new month over at Feeling Sketchy so that means a new sponsor. This month we have a wonderful prize up for grabs from Emma who is a Stampin Up demonstrator. So heres the sketch

And here is what I came up with.
Omgosh! How sweet is that little image! She was so much fun to colour. I got her from Funky Kits and she is a digi image. I coloured her with my trusty old prisma pencils (still cant get those copics working for me) The little heart at the top I have done with some Tim Holtz distress crackle paint. That man is a guenius. Love his stuff!
Dont forget to pop over and check out the blog. Would love to see your take on this fab sketch.
